VIDEO: Debut Trailer For ‘Sex and the City 3’ Released

The first full trailer for the soon-to-be hit sequel to the wildly popular “Sex and the City” series has been released.

There’s lots of running and goofing around and big laughs in the 20-second teaser, especially the first 15 seconds or so.

“‘Sex and the City 3’ was a long time coming, you guys,” Candace Bushnell says, during a statement to the camera in the preview trailer. “And the good news is, it’s happening. And, it’s coming to HBO, and it’s coming to the big screen!”

On Jan. 31, Carrie, Charlotte, Miranda and Samantha became a few of the big topics of discussion on “The View,” including whether or not co-star Sarah Jessica Parker should return to the franchise.

“I don’t know,” Joy Behar said of whether she thought the actress should return to the franchise. “I was honestly really excited that she would. I just would like to get her out there in the world.”

Parker herself has said she is open to returning to the franchise but would not make an official decision until the script is submitted to her by writer and producer Michael Patrick King.

“I don’t know what I would do if they didn’t write something really great,” Parker told “Extra” while promoting the Broadway revival of “The Parisian Woman” in December. “If they didn’t take care of their old characters and make it part of my DNA, then I wouldn’t do it. At the same time, they have to write something good for me.”

“Sex and the City 2” was a box office failure in 2008, and while it raked in $415 million in worldwide ticket sales, the general critical response was less than stellar.
